About Me

Sleepin Caterpillar awaiting Spring
I am someone who thinks so much that i am not sure i will ever be able to get it out, here, on this blog..my mind races rapidly to this and that, all important(to me at least). I had brain and spinal surgery in '04 for Arnold Chiari Malformation & Syringomyelia and am surviving on fentanyl pain patches just to live for 6 yrs now. I hate the pain but the pain has been good for me, in that i now see others differently, you never know who is fighting what battle..i deeply care about issues that i feel most people dont give a second thought, but ive found that its usually out of ignorance of an issue..just not knowing about something, truly *knowing* what such and such might be like, to have to live with on a daily basis, things that fortunately most of us havent crossed paths with..i am a deeply compassionate, empathetic and caring person who talks to much, even if these days, its to myself in my own head.

Welcome to my world, glad to have you stop by and spend some time with me!!

My birthday is April 1st, but im no fool, although I sure have been taken for one on many occasions in my life and I am sure I will be again. But what I do know, is that I love life, I love my family, and I probably even love you! I love learning, every single thing i can about it when I become interested in something...and my brain seems to hold the strangest facts. I tend to remember things from very very early on in my childhood, some memories are from the age of around 1 and 1/2 which most people tell me is way too young for memories. I was raised by my great grandmother who was born in 1893, she was to me and my family and pretty much anyone who knew her, a true saint. She is, still to this day, remembered and spoke of very very highly by people who knew her back home. Which says a lot, because we lost her at the age of 92 & a half years old in 1985! When I think of her, I smile (& sometimes I still cry...I literally cried every single day for 7 years after she died) & I realise how much I would love to be just like her, but I have way too many faults for that! I was also raised by my other grandmothers and grandfather and aunts and uncles and I come from a huge family on all sides. I am technically an only child but I was raised around a lot of my cousins, very close and we considered ourselves to be siblings instead of cousins. I just realised I am kinda rambling, which i tend to do a lot nowadays and thats also where I would like this blog to go...memories of my life, growing up in Louisiana, my childhood and even the years I spent in Ohio as a teen and onward. I hope you enjoy my stories of my past, and that you will also read about things I am very passionate about, as my belief system is that we are *all* related...whatever happens to ONE of us, always affects the rest of us, no matter if we believe that to be or not....the world we live in has and is still getting a LOT smaller and I feel its time we act like it...thank you again for stopping in, I hope to have some more postings done soon if my baby will allow me time and peace of mind to be able to write. Smile at every one you meet, *especially* someone who isnt smiling, because it is so very true...you never know just what someone else is going through, having to endure and the smile you give might just make their day! :)
